Our company began as "Cal-Sportbike", founded by Todd Robinson in April 2002, as a motorcycle parts & accessories retail shop just off Angeles Crest Highway in Wrightwood, California. The store, and its larger location in 2004, was the scene of many rider parties, barbecues, and MotoGP and World Superbike viewing parties over the years. Todd founded the Aprilia USA Owner's Club in 1999 and operated joint racetrack demo bike events with Aprilia corporate (launching the RSV Mille model in the US market), which he ran until 2004 when he turned it over to Aprilia USA. Todd also conducted motorcycle racetrack riding events and schools from 2001 to 2007 in California and Nevada, and has sponsored several local, regional, and national motorcycle racers. Working with Oliver Chami (former AMA 250GP racer) Todd created the Tracstar Challenge^(tm) rider skills certification program in 2005 and licensed it to TrackXperience (a firm Todd co-founded) for use in their motorcycle track day schools. In addition, Todd is a published technical writer, with articles in both Motorcyclist Magazine (2003) and BiFrost Magazine (2004-2005), and has contributed to various articles around the motorcycle industry over the years.

From the time the Robinson kids were tall enough to wrap tires they have been an integral part of our business; packing boxes, stocking shelves, cleaning, and helping host rider barbeque parties at the shop and passing out chilled water to tired riders in the pits at the racetrack. As they got older, they also help answer phones and run the office with a myriad of tasks that help the business run smoothly..

The business has three non-family employees, who we were fortunate enough to find and keep chained to their desks so they cannot escape. Kim Youmans (Sales, Marketing, Accounting) joined the company in October 2004, and Laura "Ocean" Nutting (Sales, Shipping/Receiving Supervisor) joined the company in March 2008. They are an integral part of our business and our daily lives, and they are truly committed to providing friendly and professional service to our customers.

Over the years we shifted from being just a storefront retailer to also importing and distributing products with direct sales to the public, which is how we came to represent HealTech Electronics (Hungary) and Pipercross Air Filters (England) and act as an authorized US distributor for Galfer Brakes (motorcycle brake lines and pads).

In April 2007 we relocated to North Idaho as we further expanded our business. Sagle is on the southwest shore of Lake Pend Oreille adjacent to Sandpoint, a popular resort location and home to Schweitzer Ski Resort (ranked in the top 25 ski resorts in the USA by Skiing Magazine). The business was incorporated in January 2010 as Blue Monkey Motorsports, Inc., an Idaho Corporation.

In December 2009, in response to an increased demand for automotive applications for the SpeedoHealer, we began working in earnest to produce an automotive plug and play SpeedoHealer kit far superior to anything else on the market, with the Jeep version being our first to launch in April 2010, and a Honda/Acura version launched in December 2011. The SpeedoHealer has been the dominant "800 lb gorilla" in the motorcycle market since 2004.

Pipercross has long been the leading air filter brand in the U.K. and one of the most dominant air filter makers in Europe. Their filters are in use by the British Ministry of Defence (Army Tanks), Bombardier Rail Division (200mph "bullet trains" all over Europe), almost every major English bus line covering 2.5 billion miles annually in highly sooty urban conditions, World Rally Car (WRC) champion Ford M-Sport team, Cosworth racing engines, Lotus, Aston Martin, and more. Concurrent with our launch of HealTech products for autos, we are making Pipercross air filters available to our automotive clients. While we can order from over 1100 models of filters, we will generally be stocking filters for Audi (Q7), BMW (M3, X3, X5), Jeep (Cherokee, Wrangler), Ferrari (360 Modena, 550 Maranello, 465GT), Lotus (Elise S2, Exige S2), Mercedes-Benz (G/GL/GLK, ML 350/500, SL/SLK), Mini Cooper, Porsche (911, 964, 996, 997, Boxster 986, Cayenne), Toyota (Land Cruiser, 4Runner, Tacoma, Tundra), and Volkswagen Touareg.

We carry a robust inventory of our imported products, and we receive frequent shipments from our suppliers in an effort to keep backorders to a bare minimum.

Most orders ship same day if placed prior to 12 noon Pacific Time.

We charge a flat rate $10 for shipping. We generally use UPS Ground but can use USPS Priority upon request. While USPS is a bit faster, those packages cannot be tracked and lost packages take up to 30 days for tracing. We can upgrade shipments to 3-day, 2nd Day, or Next Day Air at the buyer's expense.

Security is awfully important to us. So we use our own dedicated server (not some shared setup where a server holds hundreds of websites including those owned by hackers trying to break into other sites on the server), with bank industry standard 128-bit SSL security. In the web hosting and security architecture realm, you get what you pay for...and keeping our site secure is mission critical.

This one is simple. We hate spammers with a passion...bordering on a mentally unhinged blind fury. We do not share your email with ANYONE. We do keep a mailing list for OUR own use but we keep mailings to a minimum. The unit cannot be subjected to damage of course, and must include ALL original packaging in resellable condition. The buyer is responsible for the cost of return shipping. The kits have a 2 year unlimited warranty, and SpeedoHealers come with a limited lifetime warranty (from the 3rd year on, you are responsible for a $30 shipping/handling fee to cover exchanging a unit). We do not charge a restocking fee on HealTech Electronics products.

Pipercross air filters can be returned for a full refund provided they have not been operated in an engine and are returned with all original packaging in resellable condition. Their filters have a lifetime warranty.
