Why Pipercross foam over cotton gauze filters from so many other makers?
As airborn dirt particles are trapped by a paper or cotton-gauze air filter, there is a dramatic airbox pressure drop which essentially robs the engine of airflow and power. Due to the deep foam construction of each Pipercross air filter, airflow is able to negotiate trapped dirt. This means that you don't lose power as the air filter becomes more loaded with dirt!

So how does Pipercross compare to cotton gauze competitors?
- Almost like those "Dyson" vacuum commercials we all see on television, a big benefit of the Pipercross technology is that their filters limit the amount of airbox pressure drop while dirty.
